Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for settling and processing all transactions assigned on a daily basis in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process the settlements of US Fixed Income Securities and handle all trade exceptions on a timely basis
  • Reconcile cash and position breaks related to settlements
  • Work constructively with teams across multiple business entities in a fast-paced environment
  • Aid in managing volumes and organizing workflow
  • Remain up to date on a number of desks so as to be able to back fill throughout the year
  • Possess good knowledge of the products and systems required to accomplish daily responsibilities (BDC, Nexen, APEX, ICI IMPACT, RIMMS)
  • Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines instructions and ensures processes and controls are in place to minimize operations risk
  • On an ongoing basis, will assist Manager, US Securities Settlements with any ad hoc requirements/tasks

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and to solve problems using knowledge and experience
  • Strong MS Office skills – Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Good working knowledge of internal trading, account, and settlement systems including: BDC, APEX, ICI Impact, RIMMS
  • CSC - Canadian Securities Course
