Role Responsibilities

As a key contributor to the Financial Planning & Analysis team, the Financial Analyst will:

  • Analyze financial reports, monitor accounts, and assist in preparing operational cost reports.
  • Utilize financial analysis to enhance financial performance and support decision-making processes.
  • Engage in monthly variance and labor discussions.
  • Review monthly revenue entries to ensure they align with contracts, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Assist in updating protected reports to guarantee accuracy in external reporting obligations.
  • Collaborate with Payroll and Labor Relations to adjust per diems in response to changes in collective agreements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with operations, finance, business intelligence, and key external stakeholders.
  • Support the Finance Manager with the preparation and analysis of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  • Conduct monthly income statement analysis, tracking risks and opportunities for the Long-Term Care Division.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability. Qualifications include:

  • A university degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3-5 years of experience in an accounting or finance role
  • Progress towards CPA certification or willingness to pursue; MBA designation is a plus
  • Experience in developing financial models, forecasting, budgeting, and delivering insightful analysis
  • Familiarity with Yardi and Adaptive Insights is advantageous
  • A passion for the healthcare sector and ensuring quality accommodations and services for seniors
