Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Engineer to spearhead the design and development of a cutting-edge data platform supporting RBC's climate goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect and design a robust data platform capable of supporting various data types and sources across the organization.
  • Develop scalable solutions for data ingestion, processing, storage, and retrieval, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Implement a data governance framework to ensure data quality, privacy, and security standards are upheld.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, and propose innovative solutions to enhance the data platform's capabilities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Lead Engineer or similar role, with a focus on designing and implementing highly scalable and self-serve capable data-intensive applications.
  • Recent expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and data management concepts.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP and strong understanding of data governance principles and practices.
