Job Title: Lead QE Analyst, GFT

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead QE Analyst to join our Global Functions Technology (GFT) team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our QE team, you will be responsible for effective planning, executing, automating, and tracking functional tests for maintenance releases or projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on requirement documents and business user stories.
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites using test automation tools.
  • Execute test cases (manual/automated), document test results, and raise defects whenever necessary.
  • Work with JIRA, Confluence, qTest for test case management, defect management, test reporting, and other functions.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies like sprint planning, grooming sessions, stand-up meetings, demo sessions, and retrospective meetings.
  • Participate in E2E and integration testing.
  • Participate in defect triage and Scrum meetings.

Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of QE processes, testing life cycle, SDLC, and defect management processes for application testing, development, and support with hands-on experience in creating test cases, executing manual/automated test cases.
  • With a Computer Engineering, Computer Science degree/diploma or equivalent experience having minimum 2 years of experience in a QA/test environment with a focus on technical, automated testing in a variety of environments (Cloud, distributed, and mainframe, business workflows and services/APIs, databases).
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies with hands-on experience on JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience in test automation frameworks/tools e.g., (Robot Framework, SoapUI or ReadyAPI, Postman, Selenium, UFT/Lean UFT/RestAssured/, TestNG) and development languages (e.g. Python, Java, etc.).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps Tools such as Jenkins, GIT, etc.
  • Database technologies (e.g. MongoDB, DB2, Oracle, SQL, IMS) and SQL experience.
