Key Responsibilities:

  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Supervise other workers
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments

Requirements:

  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
  • Ability to work at heights, in noisy, dusty and outdoors environments
  • Physical accessibility accommodations (for example: ramps, elevators, etc.)
  • Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees, youth employment, Veterans, Indigenous people, and mature workers
  • Permanent employment with 40 hours per week
  • English language proficiency
