About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Learning and Development Senior Manager to join our Broker Distribution team in Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of learning programs to enable onboarding and personal development of brokers and Distribution partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver a diverse range of learning programs to support business strategies and employee development.
  • Develop solutions that create an end-to-end learning experience with a focus on interactive digital delivery, micro learning, self-paced learning, job aids, and instructor-led sessions.
  • Lead the Broker Learning and Development team through significant change due to system migrations.
  • Work with subject matter experts and senior leaders across multiple business functions to deliver a consistent experience nationally.
  • Drive accessibility in learning design and facilitation.
  • Evaluate facilitated learning experiences to support the overall Aviva broker value proposition.
Requirements
  • Minimum 8-10 years of related experience in creating and presenting training for colleagues, ideally within the insurance industry.
  • Formal background and experience in training and development with a strong understanding of adult learning principles.
  • Proven ability to design and build blended solutions for the insurance industry/financial services.
  • Experience with eLearning authoring tools and learning management systems (Cornerstone, Articulate suite, and Vyond an asset).
  • Certification in adult education or instructional design.
  • Courage to challenge collaborators, while bringing a consultative approach.
  • Able to adapt quickly to change and energized by new ways of working.
  • Strong relationship management and communication skills.
  • Ability to own and implement deliverables from start to finish.
  • Excellent prioritization and analytical skills.
  • Excellent MS Office application skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint).
  • University education or equivalent experience.
  • Bilingual an asset but not required.
