We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Child and Youth Advocacy Specialist.
About the Role
The Representative for Children and Youth's Office is an independent office of the Legislative Assembly, working to ensure that legislation, policies, and programs provide equitable and consistent outcomes for young Nunavummiut and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual advocacy and support to children and youth in need
- Conduct systemic advocacy to promote the rights and interests of children and youth
- Participate in reviews of critical injuries and deaths
- Develop and implement public awareness and education programs
Requirements
This is a term position ending March 31, 2024, and is restricted to residents of Iqaluit only.
