Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Senior Planning Specialist - Control Systems to join our team. This role will be responsible for designing complex industrial and building control systems, as well as supervising the development of construction documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Control Systems: Assist in the development of biddable and technically accurate control system construction documents, including P&IDs, network architecture diagrams, control panel layouts, and wiring diagrams.
  • Utilize CADD Software: Utilize AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Visio for control system designs.
  • Select and Specify Equipment: Assist with the selection and specification of process instrumentation, control panels, and network equipment.
  • Develop PLC Programs and HMI Applications: Assist with the development of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programs and Human-Machine Interface (HMI) applications.
  • System Testing and Commissioning: Assist with system testing and commissioning activities.
  • Review Supplier Submittals: Review supplier submittals, respond to RFIs, conduct field observations on construction sites, and develop reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Self-Motivated: Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a task.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Knowledge of developing P&IDs, control schematics, and loop drawings; experience with AutoCAD; knowledge of Network, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), and/or Direct Digital Control (DDC) hardware and software.
