Job Title: Bilingual HR Generalist

We are a Canadian-owned and operated retailer with a strong commitment to the community and over 60 years of success. Our HR team is seeking a detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills and a passion for HR to join our team as a Bilingual HR Generalist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the implementation of the people plan, including labour, processes, and tools, as assigned by the Manager, HR Business Partnerships.
  • Support communication and training on HR systems, programs, and processes to address functional area's HR needs and gaps.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and labour legislation within your business unit.
  • Track, identify, and report on Employee Relations issues and trends to HR Advisors, escalating key trends and metrics to the Manager, HR Business Partnerships.
  • Research and share employment and labour law updates and industry best practices with the HR team.
  • Process HR transactions in Workday, including leaves of absence and terminations, and support leaders with transactions as required.
Requirements:
  • Bilingual in French and English.
  • College or University degree in HR, Business, or a related field.
  • Proficient with technology, including Microsoft Office products with intermediate Excel skills.
  • Assets: HR designation such as CHRP or CHRL, either in progress or completed. Previous experience utilizing a ticketing software. Previous experience using an HRIS, such as Workday.
