Job Summary:

The Truck and Coach Mechanic will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of our fleet of trucks and trailers. This role will report directly to the Regional Operations Manager/Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trucks and trailers.
  • Order parts and manage inventory.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests and troubleshoot issues.
  • Assist technicians as needed.
  • Other shop-related tasks as assigned.
Schedule:

This position requires daily reporting to the Timmins, Ontario Hub, with service calls into the field via a company-provided vehicle when needed.

  • Winter: 4 on 4 off schedule to support operations and business needs.
  • Summer: 4 on 4 off or 4-10's rotating schedule, with on-call requirements to support operations and business needs.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in truck and coach maintenance.
  • Certificate of Qualification (310S and 310T).
  • Red Seal Qualification is highly preferred.
  • Experience with Cummins, Paccar engines, and Kenworth trucks.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair engines, electrical systems, and brake components.
  • Excellent organizational and technical communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and deal tactfully with a wide range of personalities.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive movements.
  • Exceptional work ethic, with a positive, analytical, and safe work attitude.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must be safety-minded, a self-starter, and a team player.
  • Candidates must pass a thorough criminal background check, Fit-for-Duty, and D&A screen to be considered for employment.
