The Truck and Coach Mechanic will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of our fleet of trucks and trailers. This role will report directly to the Regional Operations Manager/Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trucks and trailers.
- Order parts and manage inventory.
- Conduct diagnostic tests and troubleshoot issues.
- Assist technicians as needed.
- Other shop-related tasks as assigned.
This position requires daily reporting to the Timmins, Ontario Hub, with service calls into the field via a company-provided vehicle when needed.
- Winter: 4 on 4 off schedule to support operations and business needs.
- Summer: 4 on 4 off or 4-10's rotating schedule, with on-call requirements to support operations and business needs.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in truck and coach maintenance.
- Certificate of Qualification (310S and 310T).
- Red Seal Qualification is highly desirable.
- Experience with Cummins, Paccar engines, and Kenworth trucks.
- Ability to diagnose and repair engines, electrical systems, and brake components.
- Excellent organizational and technical communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and deal tactfully with a wide range of personalities.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive movements.
- Exceptional work ethic, with a positive, analytical, and safe work attitude.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must be safety-minded, a self-starter, and a team player.
- Candidates must pass a thorough criminal background check, Fit-for-Duty, and D&A screen to be considered for employment.
