About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Business Growth Leader to join our Alberta Team at Colliers Project Leaders. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the growth and diversification of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute growth plans to achieve annual business growth
  • Oversee operational objectives, including quality, commercial/financial, people, and culture
  • Drive collaboration and identify opportunities to expand services in the local market
  • Collaborate with leaders from other business units to secure new opportunities and optimize resource allocation
  • Attract, retain, motivate, and inspire a team of Project Leaders
  • Lead with enthusiasm, delegate, and empower teams
  • Coach team members' business development acumen
  • Work with team members to develop and obtain necessary qualifications, training, and experience
  • Participate and present a unified company voice within the local business community

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in operations leadership and business unit growth, preferably in professional services
  • Professional industry credentials or MBA (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience)
  • Leadership experience in the diversification of a business and the development of new market opportunities
  • Clear understanding of a professional services business model, including workforce composition and resource management strategies, risk management strategies, and commercial strategies
  • Established network of industry contacts and relationships within the region, as well as involvement with applicable regional industry and trade associations
  • Strong ability to build, lead, and motivate teams in a matrix environment
  • Ability to meet or exceed financial business objectives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, including a proven ability to write winning proposals and win competitive interviews
  • The ability to project and maintain a positive outlook, demonstrate an energetic disposition, and mentor teams to achieve business growth ambitions
