Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our interdisciplinary team at EHN Canada's Meewasin Complex Needs Emergency Facility. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to clients with mental health and addiction-related issues.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients to identify their needs and develop individualized care plans.
  • Provide treatment management, guidance, and prescribe medications as per statutory and regulatory standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Administer medications, maintain accurate records, and participate in crisis intervention as needed.
  • Provide supportive counselling to clients, families, and significant others on recovery issues.
  • Maintain a therapeutic environment on the unit and promote healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Coordinate individual client appointments and referrals, and participate in team-based care planning.
  • Assist the public with crisis intervention and provide information on addiction services.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Licensed Practical Nurses with pharmacological training.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse registered in the Province of Saskatchewan.
  • Current basic CPR certification.
  • Recent clinical experience, including medication administration and leadership duties.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
