Master Baker and Pastry Chef

We are seeking an experienced Master Baker and Pastry Chef to join our team at Boxcar Donuts Inc. in a permanent position.
Estimated Salary:$45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job Description:About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the baking process from start to finish, including preparing dough, mixing batter, baking goods, and decorating cakes and pastries.
They will also oversee the production of baked goods, manage inventory, supervise staff, and ensure that all products meet established quality standards.
Responsibilities:- Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, as well as batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes according to recipes or special customer orders.
- Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies necessary for baking operations.
- Bake mixed dough and batters to produce high-quality baked goods.
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to maintain consistent quality standards.
- Prepare special orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and safe working practices.
- Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods to add a touch of excellence to every product.
- Draw up production schedules to meet customer demands and minimize waste.
- Ensure that all products meet established quality standards by inspecting kitchen and food service areas regularly.
- Schedule staff to meet operational needs and ensure adequate coverage during peak periods.
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and relevant culinary training or experience.
- A minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Excellent baking skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to supervise staff effectively.
This role requires:

- Hand-eye coordination to operate machinery safely and efficiently.
- Handling heavy loads, standing for extended periods, and working in a physically demanding environment.
