Your Opportunity:

Alberta Health Services is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Slave Lake Region. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the well-being of our community.

About the Role:

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of nursing services to patients, families, and communities. You will utilize your critical thinking and problem-solving skills to ensure the safety and well-being of your patients, while also teaching, counseling, and advocating on their behalf.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Teach and counsel patients and their families on health promotion and disease prevention
  • Advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their rights and needs are respected
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited nursing education program
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
  • Completion of the CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (if not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five years)
