Job Title: Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Health Careers in Sask. As a key member of our primary care team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will possess a Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP) degree and have a minimum of three years of experience working as a Registered Nurse. You will be responsible for providing clinical assessment and treatment strategies, building partnerships with individuals, families, and communities, and participating in continuous improvements through evaluative processes/projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide advanced practice nursing care to patients with common acute illnesses and stable chronic conditions
  • Order diagnostic tests, prescribe pharmaceuticals, and perform specific procedures as authorized
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and their families
  • Participate in community needs assessments and support inter-professional collaboration
  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
  • Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP) degree
  • Three years of experience working as a Registered Nurse
  • Basic Life Support Level C Certificate (BLS-C) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
  • Decision making, interpersonal, communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Ability to competently use computers and software applications
