Role Description

The Claims Resolution Specialist will be responsible for handling property claims from initial notification to resolution. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Accountabilities

  • Determine the validity of claims and make recommendations for payment
  • Work with customers and vendors to gather information and evidence necessary to process claims
  • Conduct investigations and gather data to support claim decisions
  • Process claims payments within level of authority
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement process improvements

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A university degree in any discipline or a college diploma in one of the following programs: 2-year diploma from a provincially recognized and funded community college in Insurance, Law & Security, Loss Control, Business Administration or the CIP designation
  • 5-8 years property experience
  • Licensed in New Brunswick, PEI and Newfoundland would be an asset
  • Experience of Commercial Lines policies would be an asset
  • Familiarity with CICS and CDS system
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
  • Bilingual capabilities (French and English) would be an asset
  • Professional, friendly and courteous in all interactions, whether with customers or co-workers
  • Able to perform well in a busy operation and remain calm under pressure
  • Team player adaptable to a changing environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

What We Offer
