About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Support Specialist to join our team in a part-time capacity. As an Administrative Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional administrative support to our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Provide front-line reception services, including greeting visitors, answering telephone calls, and responding to emails and messages in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, files, and databases, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement effective administrative systems and processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Coordinate meetings, events, and travel arrangements as required.
- Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, and presentations in a timely and accurate manner.
- Manage and maintain office supplies, equipment, and technology, ensuring optimal functionality and minimizing downtime.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals and objectives, demonstrating a high level of teamwork and communication skills.
- Perform other duties as required to support the smooth operation of the organization.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an administrative support role, preferably in a non-profit or community-based organization.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business administration or a related field is an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
