Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Restaurant Cook to join our team at Denny's Restaurants. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, ensuring high-quality food service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, adhering to our menu standards and quality control procedures.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
  • Train kitchen staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Order supplies and equipment, maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our customers and staff.
  • Manage kitchen operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to health and safety protocols.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, maintaining a positive attitude and high level of professionalism.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to train and supervise kitchen staff.
  • Basic math skills, with the ability to manage inventory and orders.
