Job Title: Restaurant Cook

We are seeking a skilled Restaurant Cook to join our team at Denny's Restaurants. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner items
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and effective food preparation
  • Order and manage inventory of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean and maintain kitchen and work areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment
  • Manage kitchen operations to ensure smooth and efficient food preparation and service
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen or food service environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods
