Insurance Operations and Strategy Director Job Description

Overview

Orbit Insurance Services is a leading insurance brokerage with a reputation for excellence. We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Insurance Operations and Strategy Director, responsible for managing the National Collector Cars and Motorcycles Sales and Service department.

Salary Range

$120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective operation of the department, setting targets, analyzing performance data, coordinating workflow, and communicating with other managers within the department. This includes maintaining acceptable service levels, focusing on retention, responding to escalated customer complaints, and continuously improving excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the National Collector Cars and Motorcycles Sales and Service department
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
  • Lead the implementation of process improvements and best practices
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to team members
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • University degree in business or a related field
  • RIBO license (AMF or other national licensing considered an asset)
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a supervisory role
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in the property and casualty leisure and lifestyle industry specializing in collector cars and motorcycle insurance
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Superior time management, project management, and organizational skills
