We are seeking an Executive Director of Employee Wellbeing and Risk Management to join our team in this critical role. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance employee wellbeing and manage risk across the organization.

Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description

The Executive Director of Employee Wellbeing and Risk Management will lead the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and programs to promote employee wellbeing and mitigate risk. This will include:

  • Developing and implementing workplace wellness initiatives to promote employee health and wellbeing;
  • Conducting risk assessments and developing strategies to mitigate risk across the organization;
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement policies and procedures related to employee wellbeing and risk management;
  • Providing guidance and support to employees on workplace wellbeing and risk management best practices;
  • Analyzing data and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of workplace wellbeing and risk management initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in employee wellbeing or risk management;
  • A university degree in a relevant field such as health sciences, business administration, or a related field;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop recommendations;
  • Knowledge of employment standards, WSIB/WCB/CSST, human rights, collective bargaining and labour relations with respect to disability and leave of absence management.
