Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our care team at Lake Country Lodge Community & Retirement Living. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality nursing care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and resident plans of care.
  • Ensure the safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and follow protocols on all assigned shifts.
  • Create a comfortable and safe environment that promotes resident autonomy, independence, and individuality.
  • Optimize resident potential to achieve or maintain maximum functional ability.
  • Seek direction from the RN when resident needs exceed experience or scope of practice.
  • Exercise sound nursing judgment by reporting changes in resident status to the RN and taking appropriate action.
  • Foster an atmosphere conducive to optimal care and effective functioning of the care team.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Practical Nursing.
  • Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses BC.
  • Successful annual completion of RAI MDS certification as per Ministry of Health requirements for AIS.
  • Current First Aid with CPR.
  • All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check.
