Job Summary

The Director of Finance will oversee all financial operations, from financial planning and analysis to budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. As a member of the leadership team, you will provide strategic guidance to the CEO and other executives, ensuring that the company's financial health is aligned with its growth objectives. The ideal candidate is hands-on, entrepreneurial, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

The Director of Finance will be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing the company's financial strategy to support business objectives.
  • Conducting financial modeling and risk management analysis to support business decisions.
  • Managing the company's cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet operational and investment needs.
  • Overseeing all accounting, financial reporting, tax, and compliance activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Approving monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Monitoring financial performance, analyzing variances, and recommending actions to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Leading the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Providing regular financial forecasts and tracking performance against budgets.
  • Identifying key drivers of revenue, costs, and margins to optimize financial performance.
  • Partnering with the CEO and board to support capital raising and manage relationships with investors and stakeholders.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 7+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial modeling, planning, and analysis.
  • Start-up (SaaS) experience or a similar fast-paced environment is preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • CPA designation is highly desirable.
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
