We are currently hiring Full Time (Nights only) and Part-Time Health Care Aides to join our team at Thrive Group Canada in Burlington. The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma and experience in the provision of personal support services to people with mental health and concurrent disorders, disabilities and/or seniors.
This position is responsible for providing non-medical support services, life-skills, mental health support, laundry and light housekeeping duties to enable residents to live as independently as possible. Duties include assisting residents with personal care, arranging and escorting residents to appointments, and housekeeping services. Such duties are carried out under the direction of the resident, their care plan and in accordance with Client Service Contracts, laws and regulations governing service provision.
The successful candidate will be able to empathize with people with physical, emotional and social needs. Knowledge of basic math and ability to do calculations and quantity measurements are required. Must be able to plan and organize work and perform tasks according to priority.

- Additional certification in personal support care, first aid, health care or other related qualification preferred.
- Ability to make solid decisions and problem-solve effectively.
- Good oral and written communication skills, with a competent level of English are requirements.
- Able to communicate in other languages is an asset.
