About the Role:

We're looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements. As a key member of our finance team, you'll be responsible for ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, providing technical expertise, and leading by example.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures that align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance on complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, and business combinations.
  • Coordinate internal support for external audits and stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations.
  • Assess and maintain effective internal controls related to financial reporting to mitigate risks and ensure accuracy.
  • Train and develop staff on accounting policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistent application throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as legal, tax, and treasury to address financial reporting issues and ensure alignment on financial matters.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and Big 4 experience preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in accounting, with 5+ years specifically in technical accounting roles.
  • Thorough knowledge of ASPE or IFRS and experience in applying technical accounting principles to complex transactions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to research, interpret, and apply accounting standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with senior management, auditors, and cross-functional teams.
