Key Responsibilities:

The Custom Medication Specialist is responsible for preparing customized medications to meet the specific needs of patients.

  • Formulate, mix, and dispense medications according to prescriptions and established protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to compounding.
  • Perform quality control checks on compounded products to verify accuracy and safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of compounding activities and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to determine patients' unique medication needs.
Requirements:

To be successful as a Custom Medication Specialist, you should have:

  • A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure as a pharmacist in the relevant province or state.
  • Knowledge of compounding techniques and regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
