Position Summary
CareRx Parksville is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Parksville, BC. This is a full-time opportunity with a 40-hour workweek.
The successful candidate will have prior experience with Kroll, data entry of new/refill prescriptions, operating a Pac Vision machine, and compounding medications.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate dispensing of prescriptions in compliance with provincial and federal laws, standards, and regulations.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to optimize medication continuity and resident outcomes.
- Complete daily pharmacy dispensing tasks in accordance with established workplace policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with the resident care team and maintain professionalism.
- Maintain accurate and organized resident health records.
- Data entry with Kroll and Point Click Care (PCC), Catalyst, and Med e-care.
- Follow all provincial and federal laws, standards, and regulations governing pharmacy practice.
- Assist in maintaining and monitoring pharmacy inventory.
- Participate in training and support for new and existing pharmacy team members.
- Participate in ongoing continuing education and professional development.
- Prepare and compound medications as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements
- Current registration and good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia (RPhT).
- Proven ability to foster strong partnerships with other healthcare team members.
- Effective organization, planning, and time management skills.
- Demonstrated high level of fluency in both written and spoken English.
- Ability to work independently and as an effective team member in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage changing priorities and work in a dynamic environment.
