Position Summary
CareRx Parksville is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Parksville, BC. This is a full-time opportunity with a competitive hourly rate of $30.00 - $34.00.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate dispensing of prescriptions, working under the general direction of the Pharmacy Manager, and adhering to provincial and federal laws, standards, and regulations.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure accurate and timely dispensing of medications
- Complete daily dispensing tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Consult with the pharmacy management team on unresolved issues
- Communicate effectively with the resident care team and maintain professionalism
- Maintain accurate and organized resident health records
- Data entry with Kroll and Point Click Care (PCC), Catalyst, and Med e-care
- Follow all provincial and federal laws, standards, and regulations
- Assist in maintaining and monitoring pharmacy inventory
- Participate in training and support for new team members
- Participate in ongoing continuing education
