Job Summary

We are seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Parksville, BC. This is a full-time opportunity with a competitive hourly rate. The successful candidate will have prior experience with Kroll, data entry, and compounding medications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate dispensing of prescriptions in compliance with provincial and federal laws, standards, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy team to optimize medication continuity and resident outcomes.
  • Complete daily pharmacy dispensing tasks and consult with the pharmacy management team as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with the resident care team and maintain accurate resident health records.
  • Data entry with Kroll and other systems.
  • Follow all provincial and federal laws, standards, and regulations governing the practice of pharmacy.
  • Assist in maintaining and monitoring pharmacy inventory.
  • Participate in training and support for new and existing team members.
  • Prepare and compound medications as required.
Requirements
  • Current registration and good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia (RPhT).
  • Proven ability to foster strong partnerships with the healthcare team.
  • Effective organization, planning, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated high level of fluency in both written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work independently and as an effective team member in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
