Job Description
  1. Data Privacy Compliance Specialist: Provide legal advice regarding data privacy requirements and opportunities for improvement of privacy policies for Canadian and multinational corporations.
  2. Privacy Policy Reviewer: Review, draft, and update privacy policies, negotiating and drafting master services agreements in accordance with global privacy requirements.
  3. Business Partner: Collaborate with and advise business clients directly, providing guidance and practical solutions for various corporate policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  1. At least 3+ years of experience with exceptional academic and law firm credentials; in-house experience considered a plus.
  2. A member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
  3. Substantive data protection and data privacy experience and an in-depth knowledge of Canadian, U.S., and EU privacy statutes – including GDPR, PIPEDA, and the Privacy Act.
  4. Experience providing regulatory and policy advice in the areas of data protection, privacy law, and other areas of information law.
