Description
Your role as the Privacy Analyst is to be responsible for assisting the Global Privacy Officer in ensuring that Dye & Durham's privacy program and business initiatives comply with the applicable privacy and data protection laws and Dye & Durham's privacy-related contractual commitments.
In this role, you will provide privacy advisory services, support privacy operations, assist in developing and implementing Dye & Durham's privacy program, and provide other support to the Global Privacy Officer as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the Privacy Officer Mailbox: Act as the first point of contact for privacy-related requests received to the Privacy Officer mailbox, including sending initial acknowledgement emails, documenting all requests received in the appropriate log, and escalating matters to the Global Privacy Officer's attention.
- Privacy Inquiries & Complaints: Assisting the Global Privacy Officer with investigating and gathering relevant information to respond to privacy inquiries and complaints, and maintenance of the Global Privacy Inquiries & Complaints Log.
- Data Subject Rights Requests: Assisting the Global Privacy Officer with the intake, review, and response to data subject rights requests, and the maintenance of the Global Data Subject Rights Request Log.
- Privacy Incident Investigations: Assisting the Global Privacy Officer with privacy incident investigations and maintenance of the Global Privacy Incident Log.
- Records of Processing: Assisting the Global Privacy Officer with information gathering to document, update, and maintain records of processing activities.
- Privacy Impact Assessments: Assisting the Global Privacy Officer in conducting privacy impact assessments and other privacy-related assessments as required.
- Compliance Questionnaires: Assisting the Global Privacy Officer with information gathering required to respond to customer compliance questionnaires.
- Managing DPO Registrations: Assisting the Global Privacy Officer with tracking all Data Protection Officer registrations globally, maintaining related documentation, and liaising with other internal teams to ensure timely renewal and payment of fees.
- Privacy Integration Reviews: Assisting the Global Privacy Officer with reviewing due diligence and other documentation to assess gaps and carry out tasks necessary to complete integration into Dye & Durham's global privacy program.
- Privacy Policy Review and Updates: Assisting the Global Privacy Officer with reviews and updates to Dye & Durham's privacy policies, procedures and notices, and the development of new policies, procedures, and guidance materials.
- Privacy Champion: Acting as a privacy champion by educating others and encouraging a culture of privacy and data protection throughout the organization.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
- IAPP certification is preferred (CIPP/C or CIPP/E)
- 2+ years of privacy and data protection related experience gained working in-house in an organization's Privacy Office, including both operational and advisory experience
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Positive attitude and the ability to work cooperatively with others in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Ability to effectively adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure
- Passion for privacy and knowledge of global privacy laws applicable to Dye & Durham, such as the EU GDPR, UK GDPR, PIPEDA, POPIA, and Australia's Privacy Act
- Strong desire to learn and grow with the organization
