About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Vice President of Human Resources to lead our Human Resources Division. As a key member of our Executive Team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to support our mission, vision, and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Division, including employee life cycle management, recruitment, retention, development, and engagement.
  • Develop and implement employee programs, including staffing plans, succession planning, performance management systems, benefits and compensation, learning and development programs, employee relations initiatives, safety programs, and other human resources initiatives.
  • Implement the strategic direction and planning for our Human Resources Division, including cultivating a culture of continuous learning and development, accelerating succession management and leadership development, and setting the strategic direction and planning for the Human Resources Division.
  • Develop and implement a progressive multi-year strategic human resources management plan, including annual budget forecasting, approval, and reporting.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years' senior director level experience leading Human Resources departments.
  • Proven experience as a senior leader, providing corporate leadership, direction, and planning to support organizational objectives and goals, with preference in the public sector.
  • Fostering collaborative relationships and managing contentious matters in a complex operating environment, including with different types of stakeholders and governments.
  • Leading and implementing comprehensive recommendations to senior officials of the organization on strategic direction, complex policy issues, and change management initiatives.
  • Working within a public sector environment, briefing senior executives and/or Board of Directors and its working committees.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Labor relations and bargaining collective agreements experience.
  • Experience implementing and managing an HRIS system, preferably UKG.
