Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general maintenance tasks, including millwork (countertops), minor plumbing, repair/install doors, install windows, interior painting, drywall repairs, and other similar duties.
  • Knowledge of various power tools, painting, and drywall repairs is beneficial.
  • Assist with building operations functions as required.
  • Perform rough and finished carpentry work in the repair and construction of building components.
  • Fit and install trim, doors, moulding, and hardware.
  • Repair and refinish furniture.
  • Perform finished carpentry for cabinets and other items.
  • Operate a variety of standard power tools and equipment.
  • Respond immediately to emergencies.
  • Assist with landscaping responsibilities.
  • Respond immediately to service requests and emergencies addressing client and building-related issues.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two to three years of previous experience, considered an asset.
  • Completed Grade 12 education.
  • Clean Driver's abstract required.
  • Ability to use basic power tools and complete basic building maintenance.
  • Basic command of the English language (written and verbal).
  • Exceptional skills in communications, organizational, interpersonal, and time management.
  • Plumbing knowledge considered an asset.
  • Proven experience in exercising good judgment under pressure.
  • Physically fit, able to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods, and lift in excess of 25 kilograms.
  • Carpentry/Construction skills considered an asset.
  • Strong customer care and communication skills.
  • On-call as needed.
