Responsibilities:

Dental Specialists in the Army are responsible for assisting Army dentists in the examination and treatment of servicemembers' teeth. This includes preparing instruments, taking patient's dental impressions and X-rays, managing dental offices and patient records, performing preventive cleanings, and administering anesthesia when needed.

Requirements:

  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident with a valid Green Card
  • Be between 17 and 34 years old
  • Have a high school diploma or GED
  • Meet Tattoo Guidelines
  • No Major Law Violations
  • No Medical Concerns

Certifications and Training:

  • 16 nationally recognized certifications available
  • 10 weeks of Basic Training
  • 8 weeks of Advanced Individual Training
