A Major Public Transportation Project

The Société de Transport de l'Outaouais (STO) and its partners are currently in the planning phase of the Gatineau-Ottawa tramway project, a major initiative that will meet the mobility needs of residents in western Gatineau for the next 30 to 50 years. This project is a significant undertaking for the National Capital Region.

In this context, the STO has established a Project Office with the objective of leading all activities related to this phase, including feasibility studies, technical and geomatic analyses, functional and technical program development, environmental and urban integration impact studies, citizen mobilization activities, etc. To complete the existing team, the STO seeks to hire specialists with expertise in various fields to direct, supervise, and carry out the studies and support required to complete the project.

Key Responsibilities

The person in this position will perform various communication, promotion, and advertising activities on digital platforms to promote the Project. They will prepare and write various information and advertising documents and conduct preliminary research to plan the Project. They will collaborate on updating electronic communication tools, implement communication strategies on the website and social media, provide support for event organization, and communicate with clients to maintain high engagement levels for the Project.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Communication, Marketing, or a related field, combined with three (3) years of experience in web content creation and social media publications or equivalent education and experience;
  • Knowledge of best practices in digital marketing;
  • Proficiency in Office 365;
  • Excellent mastery of French, spoken and written;
  • Intermediate-level proficiency in English, spoken and written;
  • Knowledge of graphic design and multimedia tools, WordPress platforms, social media (Meta Business Suite), Canva software, and Google Analytics.
