Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Service Manager to join our team at Ontario Inc. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service and a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Balance and Deposit Cash: Accurately manage cash transactions and maintain a secure and organized cash handling system.
  • Hire and Dismiss Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of restaurant staff, ensuring excellent customer service and a positive work environment.
  • Schedule Staff: Effectively manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak periods and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
  • Liaise between Chefs and Customers: Facilitate communication between our culinary team and guests, ensuring that dietary needs and preferences are met.
  • Inspect Dining Rooms and Other Food and Beverage Serving Areas: Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization in our dining areas, ensuring a comfortable and inviting atmosphere for our guests.
  • Deposit Cash and Maintain Daily Log Books: Accurately record and deposit cash transactions, and maintain detailed log books to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Address Customers' Complaints or Concerns: Respond promptly and professionally to customer complaints, resolving issues in a fair and timely manner.
  • Answer Customers' Questions regarding Menu Items and Preparation Methods: Provide detailed information about our menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergen warnings.
  • Assist Clients/Guests with Special Needs: Offer personalized support to guests with special needs, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.
  • Attend to Seating Arrangements for Large Groups: Coordinate seating arrangements for large groups, ensuring a smooth and efficient dining experience.
  • Greet Customers: Provide a warm and welcoming greeting to all guests, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience.
  • Perform Opening and Closing Activities: Ensure that all opening and closing procedures are completed accurately and efficiently, including cash handling and inventory management.
  • Provide General Information on Community Services: Offer information about local community services and events, enhancing the guest experience and promoting a sense of community.
  • Receive Customers' Reservations and Assign Tables: Manage reservations and table assignments, ensuring a seamless and efficient dining experience.
  • Receive Payments from Customers: Accurately process payments from customers, maintaining a secure and organized payment system.

Requirements:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
