Job Title: Assistant Manager

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Marché Duchemin et frères inc. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our supermarket/grocery store.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate daily operations and make adjustments as needed to ensure efficient and effective store performance.
  • Plan and organize daily operations, including staff scheduling and inventory management.
  • Manage staff and assign duties to ensure excellent customer service and a positive store environment.
  • Locate, select, and procure merchandise for resale, ensuring high-quality products and competitive pricing.
  • Determine staffing requirements and make recommendations to management.
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
  • Supervise office and volunteer staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail or customer service environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle heavy loads.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Adaptability, analytical, and collaborative skills.
  • Positive attitude and excellent oral communication skills.
Work Environment:
  • Work in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Work under pressure to meet sales targets and customer demands.
  • Interact with customers, staff, and management on a regular basis.
