Job Title: Support Worker - Early Intervention Programming

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Wenson Support Services. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to at-risk youth in a group home setting.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing individual and group support to clients, including preparing reports, conducting social research, and assessing client needs. You will also be responsible for supervising activities, implementing behavior management programs, and maintaining program statistics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare reports or case histories
  • Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services
  • Conduct social research
  • Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs
  • Housekeeping activities
  • Food preparation
  • Resolve conflict situations
  • Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses
  • Implement behavior management programs
  • Conduct individual and group counselling sessions
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients
  • Maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs
  • Offer mentoring
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
