Director of Recreation, Culture and Promotion Opportunity

The Town of Grenfell, SK is seeking a qualified Director of Recreation, Culture and Promotion to lead the Recreation, Culture and Promotion Department. As a key member of the Town's management team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the department, including the coordination of the Grenfell Recreation and Culture Advisory Board and the supervision of non-management staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Recreation, Culture and Promotion Department, including the coordination of the Grenfell Recreation and Culture Advisory Board
  • Supervise and oversee non-management staff in the Recreation and Culture Department
  • Provide oversight of Town contracted service providers in the Town's recreational facilities
  • Develop and implement programs and services to promote community engagement and recreation
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in community and/or recreation development, preferably in a municipal or not-for-profit organization
  • Experience in grant research and proposal preparation is an asset
  • Grade 12 plus post-secondary education in Recreation and Community Development, Social Sciences, or other human service disciplines is preferred

The Town of Grenfell, SK offers a competitive salary range of $60,900 – $70,000 for the right candidate who meets the Council's qualifications and expectations.
