Job Title: Director of Recreation, Culture and Promotion

Job Summary:

The Town of Grenfell, SK is seeking a qualified Director of Recreation, Culture and Promotion to lead the Recreation, Culture and Promotion Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the department, including the coordination of the Grenfell Recreation and Culture Advisory Board and the supervision of non-management staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the Recreation, Culture and Promotion Department, including the coordination of the Grenfell Recreation and Culture Advisory Board.
  2. Supervise and oversee non-management staff in the Recreation and Culture Department.
  3. Provide oversight of Town contracted service providers in the Town's recreational facilities.
  4. Develop and implement programs and services to promote community engagement and recreation.
  5. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to achieve the Town's goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  1. Prior community and/or recreation development experience for a municipality or a not-for-profit organization.
  2. Experience in grant research and proposal preparation would be an asset.
  3. Grade 12 plus post-secondary education in Recreation and Community Development, Social Sciences, or other human service disciplines is preferred.

What We Offer:
