Senior Kitchen Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Kitchen Coordinator to join our culinary team at The Lake Louise Ski Resort. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service.
Key Responsibilities:
Here are some of the key responsibilities of this role:
- Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
- Analyze operating costs and other data to inform menu planning and budgeting decisions.
- Develop and implement new cooking techniques and equipment training for cooking staff.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff.
- Create new recipes and menus to meet the needs of our guests.
- Train and instruct cooks on food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation techniques.
- Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets.
- Supervise and coordinate the preparation and cooking of food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions.
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed.
- Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs.
- Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets, and specialty functions.
- Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities of several restaurants.
- Plan menus and ensure that food meets quality standards.
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Recruit and hire staff as needed.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs, and cooks.
- Train staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling techniques.

Requirements:
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads.
- Dependability, efficiency, flexibility, initiative, and reliability.
- Team player with excellent oral communication skills.
