We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Dawson Creek & District Hospital. As a Perioperative Registered Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to perioperative patients, assessing their physical and psychological needs, and developing and implementing individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care, from pre-operative preparation to post-operative recovery.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, providing education and support to promote patient understanding and empowerment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices to enhance patient care.
- Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
- Current Level C CPR certification.
- Post-graduate certificate in perioperative nursing or a minimum of one year of recent related experience in peri-operative nursing.
