We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall well-being of our residents.
Job Summary:The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating resident care in accordance with established standards of practice and organizational policies. You will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of resident-centered care and provide support to residents and their families.
Responsibilities:- Assess and evaluate resident needs and develop individualized care plans
- Provide direct resident care, including administering medications, wound care, and other treatments
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and services
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence
- Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives
- Post-basic education in gerontology an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Physical, psychological, and emotional ability to perform the duties of the position
