We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead our team at the Swift Current Agricultural and Exhibition Association. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations and management of our events and activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals
- Coordinate and lead the planning and execution of agricultural events and activities
- Manage financial resources, budgets, and funding sources
- Foster relationships with stakeholders, including sponsors, exhibitors, vendors, and community partners
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and safety standards
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to team members
- Successful completion of Grade 12, bachelor's degree or Diploma in Recreation/Tourism, Event Planning, Public Relations, Marketing, Business, or other closely related field
- Experience managing and/or working with a non-profit organization and sponsors
- Minimum of one-year experience; preferably in providing service to the public, event coordination
The role is a permanent, full-time position with a typical salary range of $56,000- $68,000 per annum. The starting salary and compensation package will be based on a variety of factors, including knowledge, skills, and experience.
