About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mine Maintenance Superintendent to join our team at Copper Mountain Mine in Princeton, BC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our mine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all truck shop crew maintenance activities to ensure site compliance with mining regulations and adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to achieve production targets and ensure equipment availability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with Mine Operations to identify and address potential work problems and health and safety issues.
  • Lead and manage a team of maintenance personnel to achieve high levels of performance and productivity.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Mine Operations, Reliability Engineers, and Planners.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and maintenance planning.
  • Develop and manage the Mine maintenance yearly budget and ensure spending is within approved limits.
  • Provide high-level support to the Mine Manager in developing and implementing maintenance strategies and plans.
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Current BC Mine Supervisor Certificate.
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of maintenance experience within the mining industry, with at least three (3) years in a Superintendent role.
  • P. Eng designation or ability to register with EGBC as a Professional Engineer.
  • High level of proficiency with Computer Applications.
  • Previous management experience with proven leadership abilities is an asset.
  • Possess a valid Class 5 British Columbia driver's license and have access to personal transportation.
Working Conditions
  • Team environment with regularly scheduled and ad-hoc meetings.
  • Occasional exposure to hazardous environments with the requirement of wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Regular exposure to noise, dust, and adverse weather conditions.
