Equity and Inclusion Facilitator

Fraser Health is seeking a highly skilled Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Facilitator to join our team. As an EDI Facilitator, you will play a key role in developing and delivering EDI education plans, training programs, and workshops to enhance the competency of Fraser Health staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver EDI education plans, training programs, and workshops to enhance the competency of Fraser Health staff.
- Collaborate with leaders across the system to ensure appropriate staff development and participation in education initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with the Indigenous Cultural Safety Team and other internal/external partners to provide customized leadership support.
- Facilitate and contribute to developing the curriculum required for training to improve the competencies of the Fraser Health workforce.
- Provide organization-wide EDI education planning and program-specific training that supports Fraser Health's commitment to deliver services in a manner that is Equitable and Inclusive.
- Organize and facilitate EDI education events in collaboration with local, internal, and external partners.
- Effectively facilitate dialogue, identify potential crisis responses, assess situations, and manage conflict within an emotionally-charged and cross-racial dynamic.
- Lead the identification of needs and development of resource materials to ensure appropriate staff development and participation in EDI education and awareness-raising initiatives.
- Act as a resource to Fraser Health staff by coaching, mentoring, providing subject matter expertise, and making recommendations on EDI-related issues.
Qualifications:
- A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Adult Learning or a related discipline.
- Three to five years of recent, related experience in coaching, mentoring, training, conflict resolution, and provision of facilitation of EDI-related trainings.
- Familiarity with Universal Design Principles, Gender-Based Analysis (GBA), Trauma and Resilience Informed Practice, and Cultural Safety and Humility in educational programming is an asset.

- Ability to assess, design, implement, and evaluate curriculum, learning strategies, and methodologies based on adult learning principles and practices.
- Ability to teach, coach, and mentor all levels of care providers.
- Ability to work with diverse communities and build relationships.
- Ability to deal with cultural issues sensitively.
- Ability to lead, problem-solve, and utilize team-building skills.
- Ability to be self-directed and work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to design education plans, including educational materials and resources, and lesson plans.
- Ability to operate related equipment, including computer hardware and software.
- Ability to travel throughout the Health Authority.
