Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate and assess risk for commercial clients, using industry knowledge and expertise to make informed decisions.
- Develop and implement underwriting strategies to meet business objectives and ensure profitability.
- Collaborate with brokers and customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Analyze data and trends to identify areas of risk and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory changes, ensuring that our policies and procedures remain compliant.
- Post-secondary education and/or equivalent experience in the insurance industry.
- 5-10 years of experience in commercial underwriting, with a strong understanding of risk management and insurance principles.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in English, with French language skills an asset.
