St.Amant is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher to join our team at St.Amant School. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing individualized educational programs for students with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized educational plans for students, in collaboration with family members, coordinators, clinicians, and other team members.
- Provide instruction and support to students in a small group setting, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and strategies.
- Supervise and direct Instructional Assistants and Volunteers to ensure effective implementation of educational programs.
- Collaborate with Resident Care Coordinators, clinicians, and other team members to ensure coordination and integration of services.
- Develop linkages and communication with students' family members or advocates to ensure a comprehensive understanding of each student's needs and goals.
- Undergraduate degree in education.
- Certified as a teacher by the Manitoba Department of Education and Training.
- Formal training in special education is an asset.
- Previous experience teaching students with developmental and intellectual disabilities, as a special education teacher, resource teacher, or regular classroom teacher.
- Previous experience in an interdisciplinary school environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a participatory team approach.

As a condition of employment, successful candidates will be required to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening, Adult Abuse Registry Check, Child Abuse Registry Check, and Prior Contact Check.
