About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Freight Forwarding Manager to join our team at TIMESCAN LOGISTICS LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and organizing daily operations, recruiting and training staff, managing finances, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Planning: Develop and implement daily operational plans to ensure efficient and effective logistics operations.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and manage a team of logistics professionals to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Financial Management: Manage the company's finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all logistics operations are in compliance with relevant regulations and laws.
  • Shipping and Documentation: Arrange for shipping documentation and track the movement of goods in transit.
  • Negotiations: Negotiate with suppliers and customers to secure preferential rates and services.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in logistics or a related field.
  • Work Setting: Shipping company or agency.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, excellent written communication, judgment, organized, and proactive.
